Very good service. Good food. Appetizer selection is very limited.

The dining experience was fine. I ordered steak and baked sweet potato. It was good. Others armed hair with their break as well. The biscuits,/bread was just ok.

Five stars for value and service. The steaks are great, but don't expect Morton's or Ruth's Chris level here. That being said, the food here is really good. It has a laid back, neighborhood-type vibe. Definitely worth checking out if you're craving grilled beef on a budget.

I invited my friend out for what I thought would be a nice steak dinner. I wanted to treat her for her 70th Birthday. We decided to go to the Brown Derby in Lyndhurst. We both ordered T-bone steaks, well done. My steak still had a little pink but I didn’t send it back. My friend sent her steak back as it appeared to be prepared rare/medium rare.While the salad and rolls were good, both of our steaks were fatty and not good at all. We both just picked at the steak. IMy friend mentioned to the waitress that the steaks weren’t good. She did offer to bring her another steak. At that point we’d had enough.Even though I felt really bad that my friend’s Birthday celebration was ruined; I just sucked it up as a loss. Very disappointed.

Atmosphere was very nice, food was good, salad was amazing. My only complaint is they ran out of rib eye steaks but offered a delicious T-Bone!

It wasn't bad. We didn't try any of the boils which I feel is the main thing they should be judged on. We tried a bunch from the fried menu just trying to play it safe and sample the location since it was our first visit. The food wasn't bad. I may give one of the boils a try next time I'm over in this side of town. If you are a huge seafood boil person, this seems to be a place you could get a pretty good boil at a good price.

Brown Derby is iconic when it comes to steak. With several different types of steak offered, as well as ribs, limited seafood and other succulent options, you will NOT be disappointed. I am a huge fan of salad and their house salad ranks right up there.Just go. Try it already.

It was great. I love the rolls they were nice big and warm. The waitress was wonderful to me an my family. I ordered the babyback ribs an fries it DELICIOUS. GREAT place for a Saturday or sunday meal.

First time back here in about 10 years. Good crowd here on a Friday night. Enjoyed what the menu calls the Fabulous Brown Derby Salad that comes “family style” with all dinners. I had a filet mignon & sweet potato with cinnamon butter. The wife went for the surf & turf. I was satisfied and would stop by again.

We went to the Brown Derby in Lyndhurst because it was my mother's birthday and she had passed the year before and Brown Derby Lyndhurst was one of her favorite places to go. So there were about fifteen of us in the family, brothers, sisters and our children and grandchildren and we had a really great time. The food was really good. The food is always good. They have daily specials and they have happy hour entre specials. So if you'd like a good steak or even seafood this is a great place to go!

I ordered a steak and it was perfectly cooked medium well with grill marks. It was also well seasoned and the flavors was seared in as a good steak should be. We had a party of 8-10 people and our waiter took great care of us and ensured that we were happy with everything.

The drinks were superb especially with the happy hour price. We also were quite pleased with the lobster, however; the filet was a tad bit tough. Our server Lauren was very attentive

I had not visited this restaurant in ages u truly enjoyed my meal. They have not lost their touch! I will start visiting this place more often now especially when steak is my favorite meat 😋

This place really started out at a Happy Hour venue for me but as time went on it grew to be more to me. I'm a foodie and when I'm hungry I start thinking about what I want to eat from whereas opposed to what restaurant or eatery I want to go to. Brown Derby Lyndhurst

Quaint low-key restaurant with uncommon operating hours. I typically visit 1-2x a year & get steaks salad shrimp & a cold beverage. I visited in June to find that maybe they are cutting corners or have new cooks. Food was not as tasty/flavorful as it was in the past. Service was good - no complaints.

My first time there last evening! Staff was extremely nice! Food was very exceptional! Elsie was our server and she was very nice!

Excellent food, great wait staff & generous portions. It's laid back or fancy - it's all up to you. It had a quiet rustic elegance and the background music was set to right volume and was tasteful. It's not cheap but definitely worth it! Highly recommended.

My restaurant experience was good. Waiter was attentive and gave us what we requested. The starter salad was very large. And the meal was good as well.

My friend and I visited this establishment, and the food was good but, my co- worker had a net in her drink omg.... That was disgusting and the glass was nasty to can tell their old. They need newer one.

Lauren was amazing and made sure my family was satisfied with our food very good Outstanding A+ social distance spacing is awesome and quality cleaning I observed a guy who was just wiping down unthinkable great job management of the perfection of sanitation this is a safe place to enjoy a meal

Great food and atmosphere

Third time's the charm. Went to two other places tonight that had awful/non-existent customer service. walked in, got a seat immediately, was waited on, and my order was in front of me within minutes. Attentive bartender (Kelly) kept refilling my drink and made sure all was well.Too bad I wasn't really hungry as the menu looks good and the steaks had a great aroma filling the place. Maybe next time I'll order a rare porterhouse.

Went her for dinner, waitress very nice, restaurant clean. We may have went an hour before closing, was kind of rushed with staff cleaning around tables near us..so we figured it was closing time. Food was good..although we both ended up with messed up stomachs next day, unsure if from food or just a coincidence. We may try them again one day.

Surf and turf was delicious, service was excellent and the staff was very welcoming. This was our first time coming here and our experience was above and beyond all expectations. Highly recommend.

I've eaten here several times (probably more than 12 times) however this visit was the worst, there were 7 of us for family dinner, 5 of the steaks were not prepared properly. 😔 The waiter was pleasant when he was at our table but he was not attentive and he was extremely slow with service. The manager advised us they had a new chef. There restaurant was not crowded. I will return because this visit was an anomaly compared to all of the other visits we have had as a family usually the food & service is wonderful.

We dine at Brown Derby once a week. The food is good and we feel, reasonably priced. We sit with the same server every time. Mike is the best with service and knowing what we like. Everyone is always friendly and the rolls and salad are amazing. We like the atmosphere and friendliness of the staff. We look forward to eating here every week.

Food was good as usual. This is our go to on sunday when we dont want to do long wait times. Service is always nice.

Food was great customer service sucked and they take a extra 16 dollars if you use a card

we Walked in and our eyes were burning from the smoke. They need better ventilation.We waited in the bar area while waiting for our table, and the bar was Fine! I had a cocktail and it was just right.The dining experience was horrible. Only 4 people in our party of 12 were able to enjoy their meals. Some plates came out way before others. Steaks were either over cooked or undercooked.It was my first time there, and I told the manager I was disappointed and may not be back.She said ‘That’s your choice”. Her name is Lisa. She was disrespectful, rude, and ruined the waitress’s night and our experience.

First time here. Found it clean and friendly! Food was very good and fix correctly - a big plus! Our server was outstanding! She saw we were not in a hurry and let us relax and enjoy our dinning experience! Yes, we will be returning!

every time we come here we are never disappointed. the food is always good. A great value. We were on our way to another steak place and said hey let's go to brown derby. the steaks come with sides none of the a la cart price inflation nonsense.

This is the first place that I didn't have to wash off the silverware before eating my meal. I would definitely go back. Prices are a little high but much worth it.
